Open your heart and home temporarily — your foster care can be the bridge between a frightened animal and a beautiful new life.
Fostering means providing a temporary, loving home for an animal while they wait for their forever family. Foster animals typically stay anywhere from a few weeks to a few months.
Our foster families are the backbone of Pineywoods Paws. Without them, we simply could not operate. Every animal deserves to experience home life — not a kennel — while they await adoption.
No experience is necessary. We provide training, all supplies, and cover 100% of veterinary costs. All you need is a safe space and a willingness to help.
Fostering is one of the most fulfilling things you can do for animals — and for yourself.
Each animal you foster is one more pulled from a shelter that may not have room. Your home literally saves a life.
We provide all food, supplies, crates, bedding, and cover 100% of veterinary costs. You owe nothing financially.
New to fostering? Our coordinators provide orientation and guidance throughout the process.
Many of our fosters end up adopting their foster animal. It's the perfect way to see if a pet is the right fit for your family.
Connect with a network of fellow foster families, share experiences, and be part of something truly meaningful.
Fostering fits your schedule. Short-term emergency fosters (a weekend), medium-term, or ongoing — we work around your life.
We welcome foster families from all walks of life. Here's what we look for:
We're a brand-new rescue with no animals yet — because we need foster homes first. Be part of the founding story.
Pineywoods Paws hasn't pulled its first animal yet — and that's because we're building our foster network first, the right way. Every animal we rescue will need a foster home waiting for them.
When you apply to foster now, you become part of our founding team. Future families will read about the people who said "yes" before we even had animals to place.
Email Us to Express InterestOur online application is coming soon. For now, reach out to us directly and we'll walk you through the process.
We're setting up our foster application system. In the meantime, send us an email with a bit about yourself, your home, and what kind of animals you're interested in fostering — we'll take it from there.
